He is currently Distinguished Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of California, Irvine where he was department Chair from 2003 to 2009. During his tenure, the department underwent significant changes. These include the hiring of twelve new faculty members (three senior professors) and the remarkable rise in the US News and World Report® rankings of both the Computer Engineering program and the Electrical Engineering program.

His main research outcomes have been in the following areas. (1) Quantum models of computation. (2) Quantum query algorithms. (3) Quantum cryptograpy and quantum communication. (4) Quantum states distinguishablility and quantum states cloning. (5) Theory of computation based on quantum and lattice-valued logic. (5) The applications of fuzzy and probabilistic automata to discrete event systems, focusing on diagnosability and supervisory control.
He has published over 130 papers in peer-review journals, and over 25 conferences papers.

Prof. Cheng Siong CHIN, Newcastle University, Singapore
Dr Cheng Siong Chin received the B.Eng. degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester (formerly called UMIST) in 2001.  He has published over 100 publications, 4 authored books and 3 US Patents. His research interests include the design and simulation of complex systems for an uncertain environment. He is a Fellow of the Higher-Education Academy, Fellow of IMarEST and Senior Member of IEEE. He received the Best Paper Award for Virtual Reality of Autonomous Marine Vehicle in 10th International Conference on Modelling, Identification, and Control sponsored by IEEE in 2018 and the Best Application Paper on Dynamic Positioning for Vessel in 11th International Conference on Modelling, Identification, and Control, 2019. He also received DCASE2019 Judges' Award (most innovative and original) for Sound Event Detection in Domestic Environments in IEEE AASP Challenge on DCASE2019. He was awarded the Outstanding Contributions in Reviewing for Future Generation Computer Systems, Elsevier in 2018.  He is the Associate Editor of IEEE Access, and Electronics (Sections: Systems & Control Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems).

Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

Dr. Okuwobi I. Paul, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China
Dr. Paul holds a PhD degree in Computer science and technology, with a strong focus on pattern recognition and artificial intelligence. From 2012 to early 2015, he researches at the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he works with top experts to solve the current problems faced in the mechanical field. From 2015 to 2019, he researches at the School of Computer Science and Engineering of the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, where he works with world-class computer experts and clinicians to solve several problems faced by ophthalmologists in their daily clinical routine. Currently, he’s with the SAI, GUET and oversees the VIP Lab, where his current research objective is to develop new intelligent algorithms for medical image processing.

Prof. Loc Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh University of Science, Vietnam
Loc Nguyen is an independent scholar from 2017. He holds Master degree in Computer Science from University of Science, Vietnam in 2005. He holds PhD degree in Computer Science and Education at Ho Chi Minh University of Science in 2009. His PhD dissertation was certificated by World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) and awarded by Standard Scientific Research and Essays as excellent PhD dissertation in 2014. He holds Postdoctoral degree in Computer Science, certified by Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) in 2015. Now he is interested in poetry, computer science, statistics, mathematics, education, and medicine. He serves as reviewer and editor in a wide range of international journals and conferences from 2014. He is volunteer of Statistics Without Borders from 2015. He was granted as Mathematician by London Mathematical Society for Postdoctoral research in Mathematics from 2016. He is awarded as Professor by Scientific Advances and Science Publishing Group from 2016. He was awarded Doctorate of Medical Statistics by Ho Chi Minh City Society for Reproductive Medicine (HOSREM) from 2016. He has published 74 papers and preprints in journals, books and conference proceedings. He is author of 2 scientific books and 1 postdoctoral dissertation.

Dr. José Joaquim de Moura Ramos, University of A Coruña, Spain
Joaquim de Moura is a highly accomplished computer scientist and researcher with a wealth of experience and a strong track record of academic and professional achievements. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Science in 2016, where he was awarded first place for the best Master's Degree project by the Professional College of Computer Engineering in Galicia. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in 2019, graduating cum laude and receiving the International Doctor Mention and the Extraordinary PhD Award (1st place in the area of Computer Science and Mathematics) at the University of A Coruña. In 2020, he was recognized by the Royal Galician Academy of Sciences for his contributions to the fight against COVID-19. Throughout his career, de Moura has published over 120 peerreviewed papers in a variety of highly regarded journals and conferences.
De Moura has participated in 22 regional, national, and international projects, and has also participated in 16 I+D+i competitive contracts with public or private entities involving technology transfer, as well as 16 software registrations. He is an active member of the research community, serving as a member of the review committee for several well-established journals and participating in the technical and organizational committees of many reputed conferences. He is also an expert evaluator of research projects from different international calls. His main research interests are in the fields of computer vision, image processing, machine learning, pattern recognition, and biomedical image analysis.

Biography: Dr. Hamed Taherdoost is an award-winning leader and R&D professional. He is the founder of Hamta Group | Hamta Business Corporation, and faculty member at University Canada West, Vancouver, Canada. With over 20 years of experience in both industry and academic sectors, he has established himself as an industry leader in the field of Management of Technology and Information System. Throughout his career, he has been highly involved in development of several important projects in different industries as a project manager, R&D manager, and team leader.
Apart from his experience in industry, he has been working in academia and with researchers from various disciplines and has been actively engaged in different research studies. His views on science and technology have been published in top-ranked scientific publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, IEEE, IGI Global, Inderscience, Taylor and Francis and he has published over 130 scientific articles in authentic peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings, eight book chapters as well as seven books in the field of technology and research methodology.
